Lou Caron has over eighteen years experience in management consulting services and two years in private industry.  Lou has experience in managing large development teams consisting of information technology and business professionals.  His experience includes assessment and development of business and information technology strategies, process redesign and due diligence activities.  He has also been called upon to temporarily fill the chief financial officer position.  He has worked with clients in the insurance, financial services, high technology, telecommunications and not-for-profit industries.

Immediately prior to founding CGC, Lou was a managing director and chief financial officer of Management Support Technology (MST), a subsidiary of Condor Technology Solutions, Inc.  Aside from his responsibilities as chief financial officer, he was responsible for managing the West Coast practice and participating in the delivery of consulting services.

Prior to joining MST, Lou spent two years in industry serving as the chief financial officer of insurance-holding companies specializing in marketing, underwriting and administering tax-advantaged annuities.  His responsibilities included among others: developing product-level income statements; replacing archaic financial systems; re-negotiating banking agreements; and preparing strategic plans.

His career also included twelve years in the Los Angeles and West Region offices of Ernst & Young.  During his years at Ernst & Young, Lou managed services provided to large audit clients; performed due diligence reviews and other merger and acquisition related services; and evaluated and tested internal controls over computerized financial systems at small to large computer installations.  He also participated in consulting projects including: developing product-level income statements; reengineering processes and streamlining organizations to improve management and reduce/control costs; developing requirement definitions for new systems; and selecting software.

Lou received B.A. degrees in Economics/Accounting and Mathematics from Claremont McKenna College and is a Certified Public Accountant in California.  He is member of the California Society of CPAs and the AICPA.
