Harvey Goodman has more than 30 years experience in business and technology consulting in the financial, telecommunications, utility, manufacturing, space, military and transportation sectors.  His experience includes project management, business and technology strategy development, and the design, development and implementation of advanced software systems.  He has also been called upon to temporarily fill the chief technology officer position.  Areas of focus have included research-oriented projects, mission critical processes, and executive and decision support systems.  Technologies utilized include e-commerce processes, interactive graphics, artificial intelligence (AI), object oriented programming and expert systems.

Recent engagements include the design and implementation of a manufacturing decision support system for an international telecommunications company with a web-based reporting front-end, designed a prototype system for electronic medical record access through the Internet for a startup venture, designed and implemented a web-based system to serve as a college course supplement for a publishing company, and developed a browser-based decision support architecture for a biotechnology enterprise. 

Prior to founding CGC, Harvey was the co-founder and Vice President of Management Support Technology (MST), a subsidiary of Condor Technology Solutions, Inc.  He was actively involved in all aspects of corporate and project management, sales and marketing, and the design, development and implementation of mission critical information systems for Fortune 500 companies utilizing leading edge technology. In this capacity, he is required to interface with senior management and end users, as well as information systems personnel. He was responsible for all information technology projects within the company.  Projects include a marketing data warehouse for a South American telecommunications company, a reinsurance transaction processing system, and an executive information system for a property & casualty insurance company.

Prior to joining MST, Harvey was the Manager of West Coast Consulting for Gold Hill Computers, developers of advanced expert system development tools for PCs.  Projects include an expert system for corporate credit analysis for a major travel and entertainment card corporation, an automated cost accounting manual, a forensic laboratory analysis system, and a contract specification aid.

He spent two years as the Senior Computer Scientist at Citicorp/TTI where he was responsible for developing solutions using advanced information technology to problems associated with banking and financial services.  These projects included systems for automated customer terminals, customer service centers, collections, asset/liability analyses, mortgage funding, intelligent branch manuals, and corporate financial control.

As the Director of Decision Support Systems at TRW Information Systems Group, his responsibility was to apply advanced software techniques such as expert systems technology to financial information systems.  Projects included expert systems relating to real estate appraisal, trading analysis, and target marketing.  While a member of the TRW Defense Systems Group, Harvey was responsible for the technical direction of AI applications within the TRW AI Technology Development Center.  This assignment included the overall management of Research and Development activities and Government contracts.

He received his B.A. in physics from Temple University.  He has presented seminars titled "Expert Systems, the Applied Side of Artificial Intelligence" throughout the US, Europe, Israel, Mexico and Australia.
